Honoring the Past
In 1940, Robert E. Mason founded Robert E. Mason & Company in Charlotte, NC. He set out to help solve problems and improve operations for industrial companies by providing mechanical equipment for their operations. In 1942, Mr. Mason became the representative of the Fisher Governor Company, now a product brand of Emerson.
Robert (Bob) Mason III joined the family-owned company in 1968; and like his father, he was determined to grow the business while maintaining its core values. Robert E. Mason IV was the third generation in his family to join the company in 1996. In 2012, the company expanded into Virginia when it acquired Control Dynamics.
Inspiring the future
In 2018, the company became one of 21 Emerson Impact Partners, by representing Emerson’s highest level of customer support. As an Emerson Impact Partner, we have a tightly integrated culture with Emerson and the Impact Partner Network that ensures consistent engineering practices and services across the Network to provide our customers with the broadest, most responsive support organization in the industry.
The Mason’s and their team devoted more than 75 years to helping industries across North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Today we continue to run our company with the same values and devotion to help industries solve their most critical problems, but with a new brand look and name – R.E. Mason. We have updated our company name and logo to better reflect our partnership with Emerson.
